"The Uncle" speaks at Babson

BVCPErs.

I hope that many of you are making your way towards family and home cooking, but I wanted to let you know that "The Uncle," Kanwal Rekhi, both VC and entrepreneur, will be visiting Babson on Wednesday, December 1, at 8AM.  He is the man to see if you are an Indian, or any, entrepreneur. In 1982 Kanwal founded Excelan which was the first to commercialize ethernet and the TCP/IP protocol, becoming the first Indian to take a company public on the NYSE.  He then lead Novell's development of Unix after acquiring it from AT&T.  Recently, he formed TiE, a venture/support organization for Indian entrepreneurs, and has been an active angel in Silicon Valley.  This spawned his nickname, bestowed by many grateful Indian entrepreneurs, "The Uncle."

Kanwal will be speaking at Babson on "The Entreprenurial Journey."  Come and learn what one man, who has gone through it himself and can help you in your venture, thinks it takes to make a new venture succeed.  Breakfast starts at 7:30am.  You can learn more here.
